How seats work
Seats are named licenses, billed annually, at the same price on every deployment. The Site License is $2,495 the first year, onboarding included, and renews at $1,995 per year. Beyond the included 10 seats, every additional seat is a flat $150/year.

Every license includes all updates and priority support for as long as it's active. These rates have been unchanged for more than five years.
Fewer than six people? SaaS Web and Classic (with RediDraft Cloud) are available per seat: $495 the first year and $395/year after, per person. The math takes care of itself: at 6 or more seats, the Site License above is the better deal.
The return dwarfs the fee
RediDraft™ has always been built for high-end firms, and the economics reflect it: firms typically realize revenue of 10 times their annual license fee or more from the documents it produces. At $1,995 a year for ten professionals, the license isn't a line item you weigh; it's the engine behind the practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is SaaS Web the same price as self-hosting?
Because universal pricing is how we've always worked. For years, firms running their own servers have paid the same as firms connecting to RediDraft Cloud: the license covers the software and the people using it, not the deployment. Choose Classic connected to your own server, or Private Web, for security and data-control reasons, or SaaS Web so we carry the infrastructure; the price doesn't change, and you can switch later. Two footnotes: teams of five or fewer can license per seat, on SaaS Web or on Classic with RediDraft Cloud, instead of taking the full Site License. And if you want Private Web without an IT staff, we offer optional management of your server for a monthly fee, priced to cover the service rather than to profit from it.
Can we change deployments later?
Yes, at the Site License level, in either direction and at no cost. Move from RediDraft Cloud or SaaS Web onto a server your firm owns, or from your own server back to our cloud, whenever it makes sense; Private Web to or from SaaS Web works the same way. It isn't a self-service button: you engage us, we perform the migration with you, and we don't charge for it. Two ground rules: your license must be current, and a license runs one deployment at a time, so your whole team moves together; a mix of self-hosted and hosted users under one license isn't supported. The per-seat plans for teams of five or fewer are hosted only; self-hosting starts with the Site License.
Is this a subscription? Is it SaaS?
It's an annual license, and SaaS is one deployment option among several, not a requirement. Classic, Single User, and Private Web all run on your machines, with desktop licenses verified locally. SaaS Web runs on our servers for firms that prefer it that way. Whichever you choose: one annual price covers the software, every update, and US-based support, with no metering and no per-document fees.
What happens if I don't renew?
Your work is never held hostage. On the editions that run on your own hardware (Classic with your own server, Single User, and Private Web), the software keeps working, fully and without restriction: assemble, author, edit, import, export, all of it. What ends are updates, support, and, if we've been managing your Private Web server, that management service; renewing at the then-current rate within a year of expiry brings them back. One thing to know: a renewal after a lapse catches you up from your original expiration date, as if the lapse never happened, so your anniversary date stays put rather than moving out a year from whenever you pay. That symmetry is deliberate: we never cut off working software, and waiting out a lapse never earns a discount. A lapse longer than a year means starting over: returning after that requires a new first-year license, not a renewal. The hosted options work differently, since your libraries live on our servers. On Classic with RediDraft Cloud, an expired account is suspended and loses access to its cloud libraries, so assembly pauses until you renew. On SaaS Web, you can export your library at any time while your license is active; if it lapses, your account is suspended. Either way, a suspended hosted account is subject to deletion after 90 days, and you can arrange an export with support during that window. Once deleted, libraries cannot be recovered, so don't let the window pass. Renew and everything picks right back up; on the hosted options, that means renewing within the 90 days, while your account still exists. We'll be candid, though: letting support lapse on software that typically returns ten times its fee or more each year, to save a renewal fee smaller than a single estate plan, would be a false economy. In all our years of annual licensing, no firm has ever let a license lapse and come back later to catch up. The firms that rely on RediDraft renew without hesitation, for the service they receive and for a value that has never been hard to justify.
How do seats and staff turnover work?
The Site License includes 10 named seats; ten is also the minimum. Additional seats are a flat $150/year each, no matter how many you add. Seats are named to individuals but fully reassignable: when someone leaves, free their seat and assign it to their replacement. You never pay extra because of normal staff turnover, and you only pay for the people who actually use it.
We're a small firm. Do we really need the 10-seat license?
No. If your whole team is five people or fewer, license per seat on either hosted option, SaaS Web or Classic with RediDraft Cloud: $495 per person the first year, renewing at $395 per person per year. A solo attorney with a paralegal runs $990 the first year and $790/year after, the same per-person price as Single User Desktop, with shared libraries, working on SaaS Web in a browser or in the One desktop client, or in the Classic desktop client. The crossover works out naturally: at six or more people the Site License costs less, so that's the point to step up (and you can, anytime).
Do the web editions mean everyone has to work in a browser?
No. Private Web and SaaS Web both accept the RediDraft™ One desktop client for Windows and macOS, working against the same shared libraries a browser user sees, with the same roles and permissions. It's the same installer as the Single User Desktop edition; signing in to a server is a choice made inside the application. The client is included with every seat, at no additional charge, and it's a per-person decision rather than a firm-wide one, so browser users and desktop users can work side by side on the same matter. The desktop client adds two things a browser can't: documents are assembled on your own workstation, so client answers never travel to the server, and libraries can be pinned for reading and assembling with no network connection at all. Editing library content still requires a live connection, deliberately, so there is only ever one authoritative copy of your firm's library.
Do I need Microsoft Word? What about macOS?
It depends on the product line, and we want expectations set right. Classic is built around Microsoft Word on Windows: Form Volumes are authored in Word, finished drafts open in Word, and because of that deep integration, the Classic desktop client requires Word and runs on Windows only. RediDraft One is completely word processor agnostic: it has its own built-in Form Volume editor, the Single User Desktop edition runs on Windows or macOS, and the web editions run on any operating system with a modern browser, with no word processor required at all. The web editions also accept the One desktop client for Windows or macOS, so a firm on Private Web or SaaS Web can mix browser users and desktop users freely.
Does RediDraft™ send my documents anywhere?
Your documents, no. Even on SaaS Web, assembled documents are transitory: when you draft in a browser, the service generates each one, delivers it to your machine, and removes it from our servers. Work in the One desktop client instead and they are never generated on our side at all: the client asks the server which library pieces it needs and assembles the document on your own workstation, so your answers never leave it. Either way, what lives in our hosted environment on SaaS Web is your firm's libraries and Form Volumes, nothing more. Classic is a desktop application that assembles every draft on your own machine; if you use RediDraft Cloud rather than your own server, only your libraries live there. No variable data is sent to the server and no drafts are ever stored on it. Single User keeps everything on your computer; even license verification happens locally. Private Web runs entirely on your own infrastructure. The only internet contact is an optional check for available updates, and you can decline even that.
What about Classic, One, and upgrades?
All updates are included, even major versions; we don't sell upgrades, ever. Classic arrives August 2026 and the RediDraft One editions arrive October 2026; your active license covers both. Moving from Classic to One keeps a promise that goes back to FastDraft's earliest days: export your library, import it into One, done. Worth knowing: RediDraft One is built on an entirely new data model, so that move is one-way; there's no conversion back from One to Classic. And moving is always your choice. Classic is a first-class product, maintained for as long as firms are using it; One is never required, and there will never be pressure to switch.
Why can't I purchase RediDraft™ online directly?
Because a checkout button would set most firms up to struggle. There are real questions to settle first: which edition suits how you work, how your existing documents should break into fragments, and who at the firm is going to own the library. Ten minutes on the phone saves months of frustration, and onboarding is already included in the first-year price, so there is nothing to gain by skipping it. You will get a straight recommendation, including "you don't need the bigger license" when that's the honest answer.
What if I'm an existing RediDraft™ customer?
Nothing changes. The rates on this page are the same ones your firm has paid for more than five years. You'll continue to receive all updates, including Classic in August 2026 and RediDraft One if and when you want it, and your service and support levels remain unchanged.
Why does Windows warn me when I install the desktop application?
Because we don't code sign our Windows applications, and we would rather explain that than have you discover it. The first run of the installer shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" panel; click "More info," then "Run anyway," and it installs normally. You see it once, and our macOS applications are signed, so this is a Windows matter only. A code signing certificate doesn't tell you software is safe, only that a certificate authority confirmed a company name and cashed a check, and malware ships with valid certificates often enough that the assurance is thinner than it looks. We publish a SHA-256 checksum with every release instead, which is something you can actually verify. Separately, and more happily: Classic needs no administrator rights to install or update, and it installs alongside RediDraft 6.x and earlier against the same repositories, so an upgrade doesn't mean removing what you have. On the RediDraft One web editions this never comes up at all, since nothing is installed on workstations and the desktop client is optional; Classic is the one product where the desktop is the only way in, so a firm with strict allowlisting should talk to us early.
