About RediDraft™
RediDraft™ has been in continuous development since 1991, when it was called FastDraft. It is built and maintained today by a small US team at FasTrac Consulting LLC, and it has grown from a single desktop application into two first-class product lines. RediDraft™ Classic is the proven client-server platform, modernized, arriving August 2026. RediDraft™ One is the next-generation platform in three editions, Single User Desktop, Private Web, and SaaS Web, arriving October 2026. Both carry thirty-five years of work on one problem: getting good documents out the door quickly, without anyone retyping them.

RediDraft™ starts in 1991, with a lawyer at an Atlanta firm who was tired of rebuilding the same documents by hand. What he built became FastDraft, and it worked well enough that other firms wanted it. Under Jan (Malone) DeSalvo at Interactive Professional Software, and later at Valeo Software, FastDraft moved past legal work into other professions.
Tim Owensby joined as CTO in 1996, and the software went places nobody had planned for it. One installation ran the automated voice capture system for a large medical examiner's office in California: fragments, variables, and conditional logic, applied to a job nothing like estate planning. It was the first real evidence that the engine wasn't tied to any one kind of document.
Valeo closed in 2004, and we kept supporting FastDraft's users anyway, through several Windows generations. They had built their practices on it, and walking away wasn't something we were willing to do. In 2010, with Windows XP going out of support, we rewrote the application as RediDraft™, so people who had run their practices on it for nearly two decades could keep working.
The same thinking produced what ships in 2026. RediDraft™ Classic, in August, is a major upgrade of the Enterprise Client firms have used daily since 2010: a modernized interface, a much better day-to-day experience, and the same RediDraft Cloud repositories our customers already use. RediDraft™ One follows in October on an entirely new engine. Long-time users keep the platform they trust, and everyone who wants the new one can have it. Neither group is asked to give anything up.

A small company, on purpose
We are a small team in the United States, and we have never tried to be anything else. That decision costs us some things, and it buys one thing we think matters more: when you call about RediDraft™, you reach someone who has read the code.
Software in this category tends to get acquired, folded into a suite, and slowly filled with features nobody at your firm asked for. That has not happened here, because there is no one to answer to but the firms using it. When a customer describes something they need, the conversation goes straight to the people who would build it, and it usually gets built.
The flip side is worth stating plainly: we are small, so we say no to things. What we do not do is hand you off, put you in a queue, or route you to someone who has to look up the answer.
