Privacy by architecture, on every edition
Client confidentiality is designed in, not bolted on. On the desktop products, Classic and Single User Desktop, client variable data never leaves your machines. Private Web keeps everything inside your walls, and Classic does the same when paired with a server you host yourself. And even on our hosted options, assembled documents are transitory: generated, delivered to your machine, and removed from our servers. Your finished work product never lives in our cloud.
That holds for the web editions too, because the One desktop client can sign in to them. A browser has to send your answers to the server, since the server does the assembly; the desktop client asks the server which pieces of the library it needs and builds the document on your own workstation instead. Choose that client on SaaS Web and client data never reaches us at all.
